By Carol Winker Cayman Drama Society's current production, Anne of Green Gables, has its final performances this weekend.

The play has been "almost sold out every night" so far, according to box office personnel.

Anne was written as a novel one hundred years ago. The play, as presented by the Cayman Drama Society, is evidence that good stories stand the test of time.

Parents report that familiarity with incidents from the book enhances the youngsters' excitement at seeing them acted out. Adults will find their own level of appreciation for theatre that creates another time and another place with no jarring anachronisms.

Curtain is 7.30 pm on Friday and Saturday, 3.00pm on Sunday, through 7 March. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for 13-and-unders. Reservations can be made by phoning 949-5054.
