The famous suspense thriller "The Burning Man" by Tim Kelly is to be staged by the Cayman Drama Society from 21 September until 7 October.
The story, according to a Drama Society press release, concerns an isolated and gloomy hunting lodge in rural New Hampshire, where an aristocratic recluse is forced to open her doors to a small group of unwanted relatives and unexpected "guests".
Each of the intruders is concerned, in some way, with the will of her recently murdered husband, who left the lodge fifteen years prior to his demise vowing never to return. This was after his young nephew met a horrifying death at the lodge. While murder stalks the house,
events reach a crescendo when an aged gardener is violently murdered and the lawyer, responsible for reading the will, mysteriously disappears. Only when the lodge gives up its darkest secrets are the murders solved.
The cast stars regulars Tony Rowland, Peter Riley, Martin Tedd, Vanessa Hansen, Pat Steward, Rick Glass, Kari Nyssonen and newcomer Kate Izon (as the recluse). The director is Colin Wilson and the producer is Angel Borden.
CDS promises that there will be a special effect ("The Burning Man") which will make all audiences gasp.
