now quite settled into it's new theatre, the Cayman Drama Society has arranged an evening of murder consisting of two one-act plays filled with suspense and intrigue.

The first production, Murder Play, tells a spine-tingling tale of revenge. Jane and David Valentine invite their employees Peter and Robyn Darrell to dinner at which they fire them.

The next morning as Peter and Robyn wake up, hungover and still at the Valentines house, they learn that during the night Jane has murdered her husband and is setting up Robyn as the killer.

Is this real or another one of the practical jokes that David loved so much? Is Jane tough enough to pull off a murder? Can she really frame Robyn and get away with it?

Bang, You're Dead! is a murder with a twist of comedy. As the story unravels it gets more and more confusing, but all makes hilarious sense in the end.

Whilst awaiting the arrival of Theo and his prudish secretary, Miss Trim, Theo's wife, Lydia, and her boyfriend, Marcus, rehearse the murder of Theo which they are to commit later that evening.

When the victim and "perfect witness" arrive all goes beautifully according to plan except that Marcus kills Lydia instead and Miss Trim faints at the crucial moment. A ghastly mistake or are there some clever deviations from the original plot? As for Miss Trim, she is not above a little play acting of her own and can suppress a scruple or two with regard to blackmail when marriage to the wealthy Theo is the prize.

Both plays open 25 July and run through 3 August, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Prospect Playhouse. Dinner will be served between the productions on Friday and Saturday nights, with a long interval separating them on Thursdays.
