Penny Phillips, directing both of the one-act comedies in this presentations says: "The new format provides more opportunities for experimental productions as well as for newcomers to gain experience both on stage and behind the scenes.
"The success of the diner theatre format, in a more intimate atmosphere such as we used to have at the Royal Palms, has encouraged us to make this a regular part of the theatrical scene in Cayman."
We see this as complementary to the large scale productions which we and the Cayman National Theatre Company have staged at the Harquail Theatre. Most importantly, the short one-act plays provide an excellent opportunity for aspiring local actors, directors and assistants to try their hand in the exciting world of theatre."
