Mrs. Joy Basdeo, Chief Education Officer attended the meeting as did representatives of the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman, Seven Mile Beach and the Kiwaniannes. The club which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Seven Mile Beach comprises of school students and is run in a similar manner to the larger service clubs on the island such as Kiwanis.
During the ceremony, past president Daniel Ebanks recalled the sometimes difficult moments he and the club had to overcome but noted that in the end it was rewarding.
Mrs. Heather McLaughlin was presented with gifts by both the Key Club and the Kiwanis of Seven Mile Beach on her reitirement as Charter Facilty Advisor. Replacing Mrs. McLaughlin as Facilty Advisor will be Miss Deborah McLaughlin. Pilar Bush who has now taken over from Daniel Ebanks was called on to say a few words as the new Key Club president.
The past committee were as follows: Daniel Ebanks, president; Sheenah Hislop, vice president; Angela Their successors are: Arjun, Secretary and Pilar Bush, president; Karon Sigsworth, treasurer. Arthur McTaggart, vice president; Tamara Connolly, secretary and Dax Busdeo treasurer.
