This ambitious production, an amalgamation and adaptation of two of Lewis Carroll's best known plays, Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass, represents a tremendous amount of time and effort. on the part of all concerned with this imaginative piece.
Colin Wilson, who directed the play, spent many hours re-writing the original scripts to blend in with local society, which even provided for a Cayman Mock Turtle and a Gryff Bodden. The entire cast of 45 played a total of 65 characters, were in rehearsals since September, supported by a host of other Cayman Drama Society members who helped with costumes, scenery, props and other important backstage duties.
Alice Queen of Wonderland was enjoyed by many visitors to the island as well as local theatre-goers.
