THE WORLD turns and rehearsals progress (much to the chagrin of the Osborne's neighbours who have to suffer when volumes get out of hand) slowly but surely to that inevitable opening night of June 20.

Make a note in your diary now - "Remember to buy tickets for Cayman Drama Society production of TABLE MANNERS outside the Bank of Nova Scotia Building" when huge great man-eating (or should that be person-eating?) moths take over (forget this namby-pamby stuff about butterflies) the digestive system and the cast wonder what on earth they are doing there and offer up a silent prayer for a performance devoid of pregnant pauses. Much progress is in fact being made.

Pat Stapely now knows that Jean Patou 'Pour Homme' does not 'stink' Oh Joy of Joys (That's a joke for those who can afford $140 an ounce) and the cast are fully, and I mean fully, up to date on the proposed operation on a leading light in Cayman society. Cough Cough.

Colin Wilson, willing to try anything for attention (It was his childhood you know) lured a bug down his shirt only to solicit assistance from various lady cast member in its extraction.

The performance was greatly appreciated by the Osborne's cats.

Wild cannibals have been discovered in the soup but hopefully they will boil down by opening night when at least two cast members will be sporting handsome new contact lenses (a slight gasp at the suave new look would be most appreciated on their first entrance).

Meanwhile Marilyn Osborne is still trying to persuade John Kitson that Deborah Walker is more than just an animal lover (thats lover of animals-not animal lover...although...) I fear vitamin E is the only answer.

Its, at the Harquail Cultural Centre June 22 & 26 - 29 Let's make a date.
