The Royal Palms Hotel and the Cayman Drama Society have joined together to attempt a first in Cayman. For sometime in the States, theatre audiences have been treated to a complete evening of dinner and live entertainment simply known as "Dinner Theatre"

At 7.30 p.m. on the 31st May in the Nightclub at Royal Palms, a three-course dinner will be served, to be followed by the latest Drama Society presentation of "The Real Inspector Hound,' a satirical thriller-comedy by the English playwright, Top Stoppard. So, for just $10.00 Caymanian audiences can, for the first time, be wined, dined and entertained in air-conditioned comfort without having to leave their seats. The price may, at first glance seem to be more than audiences here are used to paying; however, considering the inclusion of dinner, the Drama Society feels the evening is good, reasonable fare.

Previously the Town Hall in George Town has been the venue for many successful presentations, however, the new concept necessitated a new venue. The air-conditioned room at Royal Palms with its bar which, for those who are anxious, will remain open throughout the evening, will create the correct intimate and relaxed atmosphere required when dining out.

As a special attraction a free bottle of champagne it to be given away to a different table each night.

Afterwards the audience is being invited to stay awhile and drink with the cast and discuss with them what had just been seen.

The "Real Inspector Hound" opens at the Royal Palms on the 31st May and plays on the 1st and 2nd June and 7th, 8th, 9th June at 7.30 p.m.

Tickets will be on sale outside the Bank of Nova Scotia building from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekdays.
