The quiet hush of dinner in the Verandah Room at Holiday Inn was broken last night, as a fearsome gang of marauding pirates broke in. Fears that it may be Lockwood, White etc. all intent on yet more rope and pillage were quickly dispelled when it was revealed that the dastardly Buccaneers were merely the cast of "Parrots Revue" commencing rehearsal.

To give a synopsis of the plot is difficult, there isn't one!

The action can be described as the reminisences of a bloodcurdling pirate, played by Graham Stapely, who guides the audience through the day to day life of a pirate from parrot training through buying cheese. Somehow even an Australian wine tasting is introduced!

Graham is a newcomer to Cayman Drama Society who when asked, about his previous acting experience for inclusion in this discourse, pondered for a while and then remarked, "Well, I once played a bridesmaid in....Oh no, don't print that, I'll never live it down." However, publish and be damned, and if anyone can find out the full sordid truth in this dark episode they will be well rewarded by this scribe. I'll even cut them in on the blackmail money.

The show will open at the Verandah Room, Holiday Inn, on Wednesday 8 November, at 8 p.m. and will play for three consecutive nights. Tickets are now on sale outside the Bank of Nova Scotia, and at Holiday Inn, price $3.00.
