In presenting the accounts for the year, Tony Staples, the treasurer, commented that each production this year had made a satisfactory profit enabling the society to invest in some much needed lighting and sound equipment. Gale Shaw, the society's chairman reviewed the year's events, commenting briefly on the successful productions of Plaza Suite, Pool's Paradise and Ten Little Indians, with "South Pacific" currently well under way in rehearsal.
Gale also mentioned the society's social functions during the year, notably the Annual Awards dinner and representation at the Florida Theatre Conference; both events have become established in the society's annual calendar" she said. "and I recommend next year's committee to devote itself to their continuance."

Committee members, Gale Shaw, Janet Webber, Angela Crichton, Mike Parker, Ken Clowes and Jeff Cresswell.
Nick Press promised the membership that next year's productions would be considered on the basis of demonstrating the variety of talent within the society, for example, a serious historical drama would be one production, with a musical or pantomine next fall. Hopefully, a moder farce in late summer. The director would have absolute powers in his own production, subject to financial guidelines laid down by the committee. The choice of of play would be made by the director, and in the case of more than one director or play being submitted, the committee would make the final decision. He also promised the fullest cooperation with other art cultural groups on the island and close association with the Florida Theatre Conference.
