The Cayman Drama Society is launching another search for talent. This time, it is for actors and actresses, young and old, to play in Neil Simon's brilliantly funny comedy Plaza Suite. The play, which ran for years on Broadway, is actually three completely separate stories which take place in the same suite of the Plaza Hotel in New York. In the original production George C. Scott and Maureen Stapleton played the leads in all three playlets. Here, however, Directors Jan Brown and Jack Dredge hope to cast three different couples in the lead roles, thus giving more acting opportunities to members.

Auditions are being held in the Town Hall today, Tuesday December 7th at 7.30 p.m. and Members and anyone else interested in participating will be welcome.

In addition to the acting talent being sought by Jan and Jack, Producer Joan Austin will be looking for all sorts of help for backstage and front of house. Don't forget that you don't have to be an extrovert actor to be involved in one of the C.D.S. plays. There are dozens of jobs for you reserved types too. Cathrine Davies will be recruiting a make-up crew, and the Stage Manager will be on the look-out for designers, painters, carpenters, electricians etc. Help will also be needed with costumes, props., publicity and ticket selling.
Concentrated rehearsals won't start until the New Year, so don't be afraid of missing any of the Christmas spirit.
