Team discipline, split second timing plus the realisation that, however funny the predicament of the characters may seem to the audience, to the players themselves it is deadly serious and fraught with grave possibilities, which are on the actors' minds. Ann Smith
Ann Smith plays the part of Shirley Hornett, Emma's daughter and Albert's fiancee. She has lived in the Cayman Islands for the past seven years and she is married to Barry Smith, a lawyer with Truman Bodden Company. Apart from one appearance in Black Comedy and school plays, her drama connection has been backstage. Her hobbies are tennis, water skiing (infrequently) and lazing in the sun.
Penny Phillips plays the part of Daphne, bridesmaid and best friend of the bride. Penny came to these Islands Angela Crichton in 1970 from Kenya where she worked with the theatre Group in Nairobi. Her first acting appearance was Molly in Love's a Luxury. Penny is married to Peter Phillips. she enjoys working backstage but likes to be 'on the boards' now and again.
Angela Crichton plays Mrs. Lack, the busy body neighbour. She has lived in Cayman for four years and has appeared in Black Comedy, The Secretary Bird and The Boyfriend. Angela does a tremendous amount of work for the Drama Society and often helps 'or hinders' backstage.
Sandra Joseph, wife of Architect Arek Joseph, is making her acting debut as Edie, the spinster sister-in-law. This is a great character part and requires serious acting which Sandra handles very effectively.
