Carlon presented the Lectern to Immediate Past President James Smith, a Charter member of the local Chapter. The Lectern, a symbol of official membership in Kiwanis International, was a present from the Fort Lauderdale Kiwanis, sponsors of the Cayman Kiwanis Club. On presenting the Lectern to I.P.P. Smith, Carlon mentioned that it was lost in the mail (the reason why the local Chapter did not receive it on time for their past Charter night). He gave the Cayman Kiwanis best wishes and good luck from the Fort Lauderdale Kiwanis.
Present at the luncheon were officers and Directors including President Elect Verne Borden of the local Chapter. Also present were Lions Atlee Bodden and Jack Millman. The Lions introduced the planned Community Calendar, a new project of the Grand Cayman LIONS Club.
