The producer Gale Shaw deserves the highest praise especially in capturing the scene of the jungle hut and for the stage settings as a whole.
A word of commendation is also due to the director Val Morgan. Although the acting is good particularly of the stars in the cast - McClure and Dredge, people have a tendency to overlook the hard work put in by the producers and directors.
This is certainly one occasion when the people behind the scenes deserve credit for a really good performance.
Like many other things in Cayman, these presentations do not normally attract as heavy a percentage of nationals in the audience, as one would like to see, but from the general response, the Cayman Drama Society can feel gratified as the attendance certainly on the first night (Tuesday) was reasonably good and their appreciation was tremendous as shown in the applause.
The drama was good and the performance was creditable.
If one might strike a personal note, I would say that although having been more accustomed to following Christmas plays at this time of the year, I found "THE LONG AND THE SHORT AND THE TALL" one of healthy entertainment.
