The Cayman Drama Society's THE SECRETARY BIRD opens with Judith Dredge and Mike Maberley playing a card game called "Racing Demons". The problem is that no one seems to know this game, and they are having difficulty faking it.

If, therefore, there is anyone in town who knows how to play Racing Demons, we'd be very grateful if they would contact any Drama Society members and give a quick lesson.

The play will run for five nights at the end of July, and rehearsals are now in full swing.

The Drama Society's barbeque at We Four on Sunday proved an excellent opportunity for recruiting more backstage help for the play. Congratulations to Angela Crighton, by the way, for organising such a splendid "do". Producer Evelyn Andresen has now completed her backstage crew, which is headed by Keith Ball who is building the set. Keith, by the way, hasn't been at all well lately, but is showing a marked improvement since his doctor recommended a daily dose of Guinness. The newest Drama Society member, and the latest addition to the backstage helpers, is Caroline Cupidon, who is taking on that vital job of Script Consultant, - or "prompt" if you want the theatre, and doing the job of prompt is an excellent way of getting an overall picture of what happens during the staging of a play.
